Studies students who want to participate in the Accou nting Recruitment must be registered with CaPS for the Fall 2014 session b y paying the $60 CaPS fee plus applicable taxes in person at the CaPS offi ce (Brown Bldg\, 3600 McTavish St.\, Room 2200) in order to participate in the September campaign. The CaPS fee entitles you to all activities\, wor kshops and specialized programs provided by CaPS. Becoming a member of the Desautels Accounting Society (DAS) is a separate process.  There is a reg istration fee that includes your participation at the DAS Accounting Cockt ail.  For full details on how to participate in the Accounting Recruitment Campaign 2014 can be found on myFuture or by going to the DAS website. I MPORTANT DATES Sept. 2 - Sept. 9: Register with the Desautels Accounting Society (DAS) for 25$. Tables will be set-up in the Bronfman Building Lobb y. It is important to become a member to participate in the DAS Cocktail E vent and to be on the distribution list for key communications. Septemb er 2\, 3\, 4\, 8\, and 9 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm – Bronfman Lobby Septembe r 4th from 5:00pm -7:00pm in Bronfman 038 September 9th at clubs and acti vities fair from 5:00pm – 8:00pm in the Bronfman lobby. Sept. 3: Accoun ting Kick off Session – Everything you need to know about the 2014 Account ing Recruitment process: September 3rd at 6:00 - Bronfman 423 No r egistration required for the kick off session! Sept. 4 - Sept. 16: Firm s hold tours and cocktails to promote themselves. This is your chance to f ind out about the different firms and meet both recruiters and current int erns. To attend events you must register online through myFuture. From you r homepage click on Events\, followed by Information Sessions and Select t he information type from the dropdown menu and click on the search button. Please note that all recruiters will be receiving a copy of the sign-up s heet and they typically take attendance. Therefore\, it is strongly sugges ted that if you sign up for a firm tour\, that you honor your commitment. Failure to show up for a firm tour is not looked upon favorably. You shoul d also peruse the workshop section under Events for any accounting related workshops being offered by DAS and Career Services. Firm tours will be a vailable for sign-up on myFuture as of August 25th. Sept. 10: DAS Account ing Cocktail from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Marché Bonsecours\, attended by mos t of the firms participating in the accounting recruitment\, including tho se that opted not to offer tours and corporate training sites. You MUST be there dressed in business attire. Your DAS membership fee includes at tendance at this Cocktail (it must be paid for in advance). Out of province firms usually requi re a resume and cover letter. Your transcript is always required. Download the CACEE form from the CACEE website English version or French version t o fill it out.
