A substantial amount of work in speech demonstrat es a close functional relationship between neural systems responsible for motor control and those responsible for sensory processing. A remarkable p arallel exists in music performance\, where there is good evidence for sim ilar functional relationships between motor execution and perception. In 2 014\, the Montreal-based annual meeting focus on comparative perspectives on language and music as a means to enhance our understanding of these hig hly developed neurobiological\, social and communicative behaviours. Regi stration is now open (and free). The symposium features keynote addresses by Peter Keller\, PhD (MARCS Institute\, University of Western Sydney\, Au stralia) and Anne-Lise Giraud\, PhD (Université de Genève\, Département de s Neurosciences Fondamentales).  Other invited speakers include CRBLM memb ers: Drs. Vincent L. Gracco\, Robert Zatorre\, Rachel Brown\, Krystyna Gra bski and Katherin Rothermich.  CRBLM invites faculty\, students and postdo ctoral researchers\, both members and non-members\, to submit a proposal f or a poster as part of the symposium.  You needn't be a member of the cent re\, but your poster should fall within the domain of sensorimotor integra tion. We'd like to encourage a broad showing and discussion of work in thi s area.  Student presenters will be eligible for a $250 prize for best con ference poster (student must be first author). Work that has already been presented at national or international conferences is welcomed.Information regarding the conference program\, speakers and abstracts\, poster submis sion as well as conference registration\, is available at: http://www.crbl m.ca/sensorimotor_integration DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20140502 DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20140502 LOCATION:Montreal Neurological Institute\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 2B4\, 3 801 rue University SUMMARY:Selected Topics in Sensorimotor Integration: CRBLM Symposium URL:/channels-contribute/channels/event/selected-topic s-sensorimotor-integration-crblm-symposium-235363 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
