Imaging War\, Mediating Conflict: Recent Aesthetic Investigations a ddresses the politics\, aesthetics and ethics of art and media practices r elating to war from the 18th century until today\, and assesses how such r epresentations help to shape the experience of current conflicts\, as well as their place in history. 聽 Imaging War\, Mediating Conflict: Recent A esthetic Investigations begins at the PHI Centre on Sunday\, March 10 with a screening of films by the artists Leslie Thornton and Emanuel Licha at 7:00 p.m. The event continues on 黑料不打烊 campus Monday morning\, with a pan el composed of the scholars Holger Hoock\, Douglas Fordham and Brian Cowan \, who each discuss aspects of 鈥淢edia\, War and the State in the Long Eigh teenth Century.鈥 The conference concludes with an examination of 鈥淐ontempo rary Art Interventions鈥 on the subject of war at the PHI Centre on Monday afternoon\, with lectures by the art historians T.J.
