Motivational Interviewing: Towards Change? is听part of听the Recovery听at听its core lunch听lecture听series. The lectures are on four major themes, and will be held听from March 12 to June 11, 2013. The series is presented by the Clinical Activities, Knowledge Transfer and Teaching Directorate (CAKTTD).

Summary
There is no longer any doubt鈥攎otivational interviewing is one of the best practices in mental health therapy. During this lecture, you will gain a better understanding of this clinical approach, which aims to strengthen the client鈥檚 intrinsic motivation to commit to change. We will present the source of this 25-year-old approach as well as the spirit and values that underlie and guide its practice. The approach will be defined and put into perspective in the context of its potential in different clinical settings.
