KPE Alumna Savannah King a Featured ��ϲ��24 Ambassador

Olympic medalist in swimming, Savannah King is a graduate of the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education who went on to work as a Project Administrator within the department before becoming Associate Coach and Social Media Coordinator for the ��ϲ�� Varsity Swim Team. Selected as a ��ϲ��24 ambassador for the University's Day of Giving, she is lending her support to ��ϲ�� in advocating for student-athletes during the 24-hour fundraiser.

Completion of KPE's Indigenous Space: The Onkwanaktí:io Lab

The Faculty of Education's Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education (KPE) has unveiled its new Indigenous space, named the Onkwanaktí:io lab, which aims to provide a supportive environment for Indigenous students and encourage Indigenous-focused research.

The space features a mural highlighting Indigenous athletes and a hand-carved wooden table depicting traditional Indigenous sports, underscoring the connection between culture, movement, and community.

Call for Research Participants: Does Breast Reduction Surgery Change the Way You Breathe & Move?

The Clinical Exercise and Respiratory Physiology Laboratory (CERPL) and the Movement Technologies and Innovation (MOTION) Laboratory, in collaboration with Lululemon, are seeking female volunteers for a research study investigating whether breast reduction surgery impacts breathing and biomechanics during exercise.

The study is looking for 16 healthy women who are planning to undergo breast reduction surgery and are able to walk, jog, and run on a treadmill.
