 dentified by\nIsraeli physical therapists and described the ways they deal
  with\nethical problems and dilemmas. Many related studies have been done
 \non medical ethics but only a few on physical therapy ethics. A\nphenomen
 ological qualitative approach was applied in this study\,\nusing the 'grou
 nded theory' methodology.  Physical therapists\nfrom different sets of pra
 ctice were interviewed using\nsemi-structured interview. The ethical issue
 s raised by the\ninterviewee are divided into three categories\; a) their
 \nrelationships with patients\; b) situations in which physical\ntherapist
 s are between the patient and a third party provider\, e.g.\nhealth insura
 nce companies\; and c) their relationships with\nphysicians and physical t
 herapy colleagues. The results indicate\nthat physical therapists main eth
 ical principle is 'beneficence'.\nMost of the ethical problems and dilemma
 s arose when physical\ntherapists encountered difficulties in striving to 
 fulfill this\nprinciple. Physical therapists demonstrated a wide range of 
 ethical\nreasoning. Most of them did not rely on bioethical theories or\np
 rinciples in this process. This study is the first in-depth\nanalysis of p
 hysical therapy ethics in a changing society and\nhealth policy.\n
