 tar of the stars' 鈥� will introduce\naudiences to some bizarre cosmic bodie
 s that are known to explode\nviolently without warning. She鈥檒l also share 
 how astrophysicists\nemploy satellites and enormous ground-based telescope
 s to study the\nunpredictable behavior of these objects\, including black 
 holes and\nsuper-dense\, spinning neutron stars.\n\nABOUT VICKY KASPI\n\nV
 icky Kaspi is a professor of physics at 黑料不打烊 University\, where\nshe hol
 ds the Lorne Trottier Chair in Astrophysics and Cosmology\nand a Canada Re
 search Chair in Observational Astrophysics. She has\nreceived numerous awa
 rds and honors\, including the Harvard\nUniversity Sackler Lectureship in 
 2009 and being elected a fellow\nof the Royal Society of Canada in 2008. H
 er research centers on\nneutron stars 鈥� ultra-dense\, rapidly rotating sta
 rs that are close\ncousins of black holes 鈥� and requires the use of some o
 f the\nlargest and most powerful radio and X-ray telescopes in the\nworld.
