He investigates the neur obiology of social cognition through the lens of complex systems theory an d computational methods. His scientific interests connect with biomedical research\, specifically in psychiatry which requires integrating biologica l\, psychological\, and social dimensions of the human mind.\n\nAbout the presentation\n\nThe interdisciplinary endeavour of cognitive science has b een encompassing the study of many scales in both space\, time\, and field s. This talk will illustrate how building “computational ladders” between scales provides alternative heuristics to understand social cognition in h ealth and disease. We will start by the interactive turn taken recently by social neuroscience\, discussing how the study of human-human and human-m achine interaction demonstrate how low-level sensorimotor coordination wit h others not only shapes our individual mind but also how we infer high-le vel intentions and humanness attribution to them. We will finish with rece nt analyses of the phylogeny of the primate nervous system\, including arc haic hominids such as Neanderthal and Denisovan\, and discuss how genetics at evolutionary time scale questions the singularity of the human brain a nd the emergence of social skills.\n\nPanel Discussion: A multi-disciplina ry panel will follow the presentation to advance convergence science on th e multiscale mechanisms of dopamine underlying the behavioral response to experience and environmental variations over the lifecourse. Insights for behavioral change and ecosystem transformation at scale for lifelong welln ess and resilience will be discussed. The moderator is Prof. Laurette Dubé \, Chair and Scientific Director\, ϲ Centre for the Convergence of He alth and Economics (MCCHE).\n DTSTART:20210616T150000Z DTEND:20210616T170000Z SUMMARY:Brain to Society: Decision and Behavior Seminar Series with Dr. Gui llaume Dumas URL:/desautels/channels/event/brain-society-decision-a nd-behavior-seminar-series-dr-guillaume-dumas-331331 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
