An interest and ability to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate tr aining of teachers is preferred\, and quantitative or measurement skills w ould be an asset as well. Applicants should (a) have an earned a doctorate in Human Development\, Educational Psychology or in a related discipline\ ; (b) demonstrate evidence of scholarship and research funding commensurat e with rank\; and (c) demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching at gradu ate and undergraduate levels\, and to graduate supervision.\nLearning Scie nces\n The Learning Sciences program is offered at the PhD\, MA\, and MEd l evels. Its core areas are: (1) Cognition\, Learning\, and Instruction\; (2 ) Technology-rich Learning Environments\, (3) Self-regulation\, Motivation and Emotion\; and (4) Socio-cultural and Historical Foundations of Learni ng.\nThe disciplinary background of the candidate may include psychology\, cognitive science\, educational psychology\, learning sciences\, or a rel ated field with a focus on learning and instruction. We are particularly i nterested in candidates with an interdisciplinary orientation whose resear ch agenda addresses at least two of our core areas and has a focus on impr oving learning and teaching in schools\, post-secondary institutions\, in the workplace\, or in informal settings.\nCandidates should demonstrate an outstanding potential for research\, teaching\, and graduate supervision and have a strong background in and knowledge of research design\, prefera bly both quantitative and qualitative analytic methods. The successful can didate will be expected to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels\ , supervise master’s level and doctoral students\, and be an active contri butor to program-related activities.\nSchool/Applied Child Psychology\n The program made a new hire last year and is looking to expand. We are search ing for a candidate with a doctoral degree in school psychology or a relat ed discipline who shows strong professional identity as a school psycholog ist\, evidence of scholarly productivity\, development of a coherent progr am of research consistent with a research-intensive university\, and a rec ord of successful teaching. Experience as a practicing school psychologist is desirable. Although area of interest is open\, preference is given to persons with quantitative/measurement skills and a school-based research a genda.
