We will review current methodologies in automated EEG analysis as well as the integration of wearable technologies for seizure detection and forecasting. Emphasis will be placed on algorithm development\, validation metrics\, and the tra nslational opportunities and challenges associated with clinical deploymen t.\n\nElie Bou Assi\n\nDepartment of Neuroscience\, Université de Montréal \, Centre de Recherche du Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal ( CRCHUM)\n\n\n\nElie Bou Assi is an Associate Professor in the Department o f Neuroscience at the Faculty of Medicine\, Université de Montréal. He is also affiliated with the Institute for Data Valorization (IVADO) and serve s as a principal scientist at the Centre de Recherche du Centre hospitalie r de l’Université de Montréal (CRCHUM). He holds a PhD in biomedical engin eering from Polytechnique Montréal. His research focuses on applying artif icial intelligence to EEG and physiological signals acquired through weara ble devices to improve the diagnosis\, monitoring\, and management of epil epsy. He was named a Future Leader in Canadian Brain Research by Brain Can ada (2022) and received the Epilepsy Canada Young Investigator Award (2023 ) and the Canadian League Against Epilepsy Publication Award (2023\, 2024) .
