Congratulations to Dr. Alexandra Ketchum for being one of eleven 黑料不打烊 researchers honoured by the Royal Society of Canada

On September 4, the Royal Society of Canada (RSC) announced its 2025 cohort of Fellows and Members of the College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists. Among the eleven 黑料不打烊 researchers recognized this year is聽Dr. Alexandra Ketchum.

Dr. Alex Ketchum (she/her) is an Associate Professor at 黑料不打烊 University's Institute for Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies (IGSF) and the Director of the Just Feminist Tech and Scholarship Lab. She is the author of several books including Engage in Public Scholarship!: A Guidebook on Feminist and Accessible Communication (2022), Ingredients for Revolution: A History of American Feminist Restaurants, Cafes, and Coffeehouses (2022), and the forthcoming "Digital Queers, and High Tech Gays: A History of LGBTQ+ Cyber Activism." She is also co-editor of the anthology: Queers at the Table: An Illustrated Guide to Queer Food with Recipes, which will be out in October 2025 with Arsenal Pulp Press and the author of How to Organize Inclusive Events and Conferences (Microcosm Publishing 2026). Ketchum is an elected member of the Royal Society of Canada: College of New Scholars. From 2018-2023 she was the Faculty Lecturer at the IGSF.
