 eles-based consultant for artists and arts organizations. She is the autho
 r of Make Your Art No Matter What (Chronicle Books\, 2021.) Her previous b
 ook is Your Art Will Save Your Life (Feminist Press\, 2018). Her pamphlets
 —Making Art During Fascism and On Artists and Hopelessness—were designed a
 nd distributed by the Feminist Center for Creative Work in Los Angeles. He
 r popular podcast\, Mind Your Practice\, is widely available as is her art
 ist service program\, Homework Club.\n\nPickens earned her Master’s degree
  in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri. Since 2010\, sh
 e’s provided career consultation\, grant writing\, fundraising\, and finan
 cial\, project\, and strategic planning services for artists and arts orga
 nizations throughout the U.S. She previously taught at the California Inst
 itute of the Arts School of Theater and continues to teach at universities
 \, companies\, and art spaces throughout the U.S.\n\nThis event is part of

 ns Technologies Speaker and Workshop Series\, organized by Dr. Alex Ketchu
