She is Professor in the Department of Medicine\, and senior scientist in the Cent re for Education Research & Innovation\, both at the Schulich School of Me dicine & Dentistry at Western University.\n\nWith a PhD in Rhetoric\, Lore lei brings a unique approach to the field of health professions education research. For more than 20 years\, she has studied the communication pract ices of clinical teams\, in order to support evidence-based educational in itiatives to improve teamwork. She has secured more than 6 million dollars in grant funding over the course of her career\, and published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers. In 2014\, Dr. Lingard was awarded the prestigiou s appointment of Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences\, in re cognition of the impact of her work on Canadian healthcare.
