 \nPlacing your Innovation on the Scholarly Arc\n\nIn this interactive work
 shop\, participants will be guided to consider where their educational inn
 ovations sit on the scholarly arc. We will also do some practical exercise
 s to develop skills to support describing educational innovations in ways 
 that make findings from them transferable to broader audiences. \n\nDr. Va
 rpio is a professor at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Uni
 versity of Pennsylvania. Dr Varpio is internationally recognized for her h
 ealth professions education research that harnesses her expertise in quali
 tative research and with theories from the social sciences and humanities.
  To date\, across her 16year tenure in the field\, she has secured nearly 
 $6million in research funding and has published over 170 manuscripts. Her 
 research has won innumerable national and international awards. She has gi
 ven invited talks at hospitals and medical schools around the world\, and 
 she has led invited sessions and given plenaries at some of the largest ac
 ademic medicine conferences in the world. You can hear her weekly on the p
