 r and consultant to numerous governmental and non-governmental organizatio
 ns in peace talks in regions ranging from Chechnya to Papua New Guinea. He
  has made his passion for the need to alleviate suffering caused by injust
 ice\, violent conflict and oppression his life-long career.\n\nHe has auth
 ored and edited books and articles on a variety of topics related to intra
 state conflict and to relations of peoples and minorities with states\, in
