About the speaker Adrian Popovici is a professor emer itus (Faculty of Law\, Université de Montréal) and an affiliate member (Mc Gill).  He is a ϲ Faculty of Law graduate (1962) and the author of La couleur du mandat (1995).  His interests lie in civil and comparative law . About the Civil Law Workshops In order to promote fundamental research in private law\, the Paul-André Crépeau Centre for Private and Comparativ e Law initiated the “Civil Law Workshop” series\, bringing together jurist s from Québec and beyond to work on related research topics. With their cr oss-disciplinary focus\, the “Civil Law Workshops” contribute to enriching and stimulating fundamental research in private law. The 2012-2014 serie s of civil law workshops presented by the Paul-André Crépeau Centre for Pr ivate and Comparative Law explore « Les apparences en droit civil ». The workshops are presented with financial assistance from Justice Canada’s Su pport Fund for Access to Justice in Both Official Languages. Registration is not required. Each workshop has been accredited for 1.5 hours of conti nuing legal education by the Barreau du Québec.
