As of Monday, December 1, ��ϲ�� students are able to access the Nahum Gelber Law Library 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of ��ϲ�� University (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the December 2 to 20 examination period.

A New Assistant Director Joins the Leadership Team of the Crépeau Centre

On December 2024, Valérine Pinel joined the Centre Crépeau’s leadership team as assistant director. Since February 2024, Valérine has been with the Centre as a Researcher-Project Coordinator, delivering exceptional work across various projects. Notably, her contribution as the project coordinator for the Private Law Dictionary and Bilingual Lexicons, characterized by her meticulous approach and high research standards, has been instrumental in enriching this key project, which lies at the heart of the Crépeau Centre.

The Faculty of Law was again ranked among the world’s top universities at which to study law by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The 2025 QS World University Rankings by Subject in Law and Legal Studies placed ��ϲ�� Law 41st worldwide.

Since QS introduced the ranking in 2011, the Faculty of Law has consistently placed in the top 50 institutions globally. The QS ranking is based on academic reputation, employer reputation, H-index citations, and citations per paper.

The ��ϲ�� Faculty of Law is delighted to welcome the American Society of Comparative Law (ASCL) for its 2025 Annual Meeting, which will take place in Montreal, Canada, from Thursday, October 16 to Saturday, October 18, 2025. The meeting is hosted by the Wainwright Chair in Civil, Comparative and Transnational Law, in collaboration with the ��ϲ�� Crépeau Centre for Private and Comparative Law.

Proposals for papers to be presented at the Annual Meeting are invited from scholars in all regions and at all stages of their careers, regardless of ASCL membership.
