 tive research. At Macdonald\, more than one-quarter of our students are gr
 aduate students\, making the campus a hub for discussion and debate regard
 ing issues of the environment of natural and human-influenced ecosystems\,
  biosciences and bioproducts for the benefit of society\, food\, food safe
 ty\, nutrition and health. Graduate programs are offered by all the academ
 ic units on the Macdonald Campus. \n\nThe ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Institute of Parasitology
  focuses on parasitic organisms in humans\, livestock\, and other animals\
 , the relationship with their host and the means to limit the impact of pa
 rasitic disease on health and wellbeing. The interface of parasitism/immun
 ity/nutrition is also examined in the context of the host–parasite interac
 tion.  \n\nThe Institute is housed in its own building adjacent to the Mac
 donald Campus Library and has well-equipped modern laboratories with excel
 lent facilities for molecular research\, including a confocal suite. Small
  and large animal facilities are available on the Macdonald Campus. The In
 stitute is affiliated with the J.D. MacLean Centre for Tropical Diseases a
