These pathogens rely on fine regulation of  gene expression to respon d and adapt to variable environments\, with implications in transmission a nd infectivity. Unlike mammals (hosts) or most other eukaryotes\, trypanos omatid gene regulation occurs at the post-transcriptional level mostly thr ough interaction of trans-acting RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) and cognate c is-acting sequence elements (¬RNA Regulatory Elements\, RREs) that direct mRNA maturation\, localization\, stability\, and translation rate. However \, these regulatory elements and their mechanisms of actions are largely u nknown. In this thesis\, we use integrated computational experimental stra tegies to unravel the regulatory circuits controlling RNA processing and a bundance in these human parasites that can be eventually exploited to iden tify novel chemotherapeutics.\n\nEveryone in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community is welco me to attend a PhD oral defense.
