  Minas Gerais\, Brazil\n\nThe seminar seeks to establish a connection betw
 een bioethics and human dignity\, mainly within the scope of scientific re
 search. In this sense\, human dignity must be understood as a right\n	and a
 lso as an obligation\, a principle of responsibility that must be dissemin
 ated pedagogically between sciences\, arts and professions. In fact\, the 
 decisive motive of human dignity is the welfare of each and everyone. It m
 ust be guaranteed by the legal system and become the moral content of ever
 y individual’s actions in his social relations. It is imperative to devise
  a perspective in which human values and biological knowledge can be produ
 ced with ethical engagement. This argument concretizes the bulk of this se
 minar.\n\nABOUT THE SPEAKER:\n\nDr. Fiuza received his PhD in Private Law\
 , Federal University of Minas Gerais. He is currently a Professor of Priva
 te Law at the Federal University of Minas Gerais\, at the Pontifical Catho
 lic University of the State of Minas Gerais and at FUMEC University. He is
  a lawyer and legal consultant.\n
