Nearly 200 members of the ��ϲ��-Macdonald community gathered for a virtual celebration of Founder’s Day on Zoom on February 11, 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic required organizers to rethink the traditional format. The transition to a digital event was a smooth one, with veteran MC Paul Meldrum, Manager of the Macdonald Campus Farm, seamlessly connecting each segment with some behind-the-scenes help.

As part of ��ϲ��’s Bicentennial year, the 2022 Founder’s Day--held February 10th-- took on a graphic twist as illustrator Jordana Globerman turned the Macdonald campus community’s thoughts and dreams into seven dynamic, vibrant panels during an interactive real-time Zoom performance.

Students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends of Mac campus celebrate the past, present and future of Sir William's visionary creation

On February 6, members of Macdonald campus came together to take part in the annual Founder’s Day festivities. Chris Buddle, who taught at Mac for many years before moving to the administrative side downtown, summed up the tone for the day.

“Although I spend a lot of my time downtown now, a huge hunk of my heart is here. I love Mac campus and try to visit it regularly,” said the Associate Provost (Teaching and Academic Programs).

Founder’s Day festivities are an occasion to celebrate our history, our strengths and our promise for the future.
