 features Janet Gwilliam. Janet has held a number of increasingly senior po
 licy positions with the Government in areas of social policy\, organizatio
 nal transformation and expenditure management\, corporate services and str
 ategic policy. Prior to joining the public service\, she worked in homeles
 s shelters as a frontline counsellor and transitional support worker. She 
 has also done housing outreach and eviction prevention as well as work at 
 the Children’s Aid Society of Hastings and Belleville.\n\nAbout the Speake
 r \n\nJanet Gwilliam is the Director of the Homelessness Policy and Partne
 rships Division at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). After 
 graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Sociology from the Univers
 ity of British Columbia\, Janet completed a Master of Sociology and Master
  of Public Administration at Queen’s University. Janet has worked in homel
 ess shelters as a frontline counsellor and transitional support worker. Sh
