Course evaluations are open!

Winter 2025 deadlines:

  • April 11 (condensed evaluation period)
  • May 1 (default evaluation period)

Mercury System

Mercury is name of the official system for collecting course evaluation data at 黑料不打烊 University.

The Mercury course evaluation system was upgraded in Winter 2025.

Here are a few features to note:

Tasks

  • Displays any outstanding tasks for you to complete
    • For students: Your open course evaluations are displayed here
    • Instructors: Custom questions, when available, can be accessed here

Open evaluations (for students)

  • When you open an evaluation for the first time, you will have the option to continue or decline
  • Use the Summary button for an overview of the questions you've completed and your responses. Choose Modify to update your responses
  • Once you鈥檝e finalized your responses, choose the Submit button
  • If you鈥檝e made a mistake or would like to update your responses after you鈥檝e submitted them (if the evaluation period is still open),

Subject Management

  • View the current response rates of in progress course evaluations from the Subject Management widget

Response Rate Monitor

  • View the response rates of all course evaluations (in progress and completed) from the Response Rate Monitor widget
    • Use Subject Filters to filter results by defined criteria (e.g., Term, Faculty, Course Level)

Reports

  • Displays all reports assigned to you
    • Instructors: Reports from your completed courses
    • Academic unit heads: Reports from all courses in your unit
  • By default, only reports from the past two years are displayed
  • Use the toggle Historical Reports to see reports older than two years
  • Use the Category drop-down menu to filter reports by year and term
  • Add reports to Bookmarks from the action menu (three dots) in the individual report
  • Need help interpreting your results? See interpretation guidelines

Bookmarks

  • Any reports or open course evaluations you have bookmarked will appear here.
