weather /meteo/taxonomy/term/249/all en Weather /meteo/aos-research/weather
The term "weather systems" broadly encompasses the processes that regulate atmospheric conditions on time scales of seconds to weeks and spatial scales ranging from the microscale (~ 0.1 to 1 km) to the planetary scale (~10,000 km). Research activity is particularly focused on mesoscale (~1 to 100s of km) and synoptic scale (~1000 km) processes. Phenomena that fall into this theme include extratropical cyclones, fronts, tropical cyclones and hurricanes, mountain waves, mesoscale convective systems, cloud initiation and evolution, and boundary-layer circulations.
Thu, 28 Feb 2019 14:30:11 +0000 amna.jabeen@mcgill.ca 2310 at /meteo Prof. Timothy Merlis /meteo/facultystaff/merlis

Atmospheric and Climate Dynamics
Office: Burnside Hall 815
Tel.: (514) 398-3140
Fax.: (514) 398-6115
timothy.merlis [at] mcgill.ca (E-Mail)
Website
Mon, 12 Aug 2013 14:18:00 +0000 michael.havas@mcgill.ca 1508 at /meteo Prof. Peter Bartello /meteo/facultystaff/bartello

Geophysical Fluid Dynamics

Office: Burnside Hall 910
Tel.: (514) 398-8075
Fax.: (514) 398-6115
bartello [at] meteo.mcgill.ca (E-mail)
Mon, 16 May 2011 20:00:18 +0000 michael.havas@mcgill.ca 72 at /meteo Prof. M.K.
