DESCRIPTION:In support of Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom and JDAIM\, we are pl
 eased to co-host guest speaker Sherry Diamond during Jewish Disability Awa
 reness and Inclusion Month (JDAIM).\n\nSherry Diamond is a professor\, dra
 ma therapist and lawyer\, and a fierce advocate for inter- and intra-cultu
 ral awareness. In her talk\, she will focus on belonging because it is bot
 h the foundation of our diversity and inclusion efforts\, and it is the de
 sired outcome of those efforts. Diamond began working in the disabilities 
 community at the age of 24\, first as a teacher\, then as a therapist\, th
 en as an administrator. The spaces she and her colleagues nurtured and dev
 eloped were markedly different from most others\, because they emphasized 
 belonging. Diamond will explore how we can incorporate some of those princ
 iples into our daily practice of inclusion.\n\nThis event is open to all\,
  no registration is required as it is part of Temple's regular Friday nigh
 t worship service via Zoom\n
