DESCRIPTION:43rd Annual Christian Commemoration of the Shoah\n\nOrganized b
 y the Christian Jewish Dialogue of Montreal (CJDM)\, this event unites Jew
 s\, Christians\, and others to commemorate the six million Jews and one mi
 llion other victims of the Holocaust\, also known as the Shoah (“the annih
 ilation” in Hebrew)\, during World War II. This year's commemoration will 
 be held in person at the host congregation\, the Church of St. Andrew & St
 . Paul (3415 Redpath). \n\nThe theme is “You shall be holy”. The service w
 ill also be livestreamed at https://www.standrewstpaul.com/#livestream\n\n
 Co-presided by Rev. Glenn Chestnutt and Rabbi Sherril Gilbert\, the commem
 oration will include a testimony by Holocaust survivor Rachel Gropper. The
 re will also be a candle lighting ceremony in remembrance of all the victi
 ms of the Shoah. Songs and music will be performed by a vocal quartet (can
 torial soloist Rona Nadler\, Alexandra Asher\, Kerry Bursey and Dave Benso
 n) and by Dr. Jonathan Oldengarm Director of Music and Organist. All are w
 elcome.\n\nFounded in 1971\, the Christian-Jewish Dialogue of Montreal is 
 composed of representatives of various sponsoring organizations\, who come
  together on a regular basis in order to build and strengthen mutual under
 standing and support between Christian and Jewish communities.\n
