 SSI event for the 2017-18 academic year. This will take place on September
  26th\, 2:00 – 5:00 pm\, in the SSMU (ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Student Union) Ballroom\, 348
 0 McTavish\, and will be live-streamed to the Mac campus (Raymond building
  R3-045).\n\n \n\nThe schedule is as follows: \n\n\n	2:00 – 3:00 pm: Launch
  of the first three Research Themes: Adapting Urban Environments for the F
 uture\; Creating Sustainable Materials for the Future\, and Sustaining Lan
 dscapes for the Future\; with presentations on each program and ways to ge
 t involved.\n	3:00 – 3:40 pm: Presentation from our first MSSI Invited Spea
 ker\, Amy Luers for this academic year. Amy has worked at the intersection
  of science\, technology\, and policy in sustainability for 20 years and h
 as just arrived in Montreal to take up the post of Executive Director of F
 uture Earth. We are honored that she is taking the time to share her insig
 hts with us so soon after her arrival in Montreal and look forward to a st
 imulating presentation.\n	3:40 – 5:00 pm: As always\, the event will end wi
 th a reception\, both on the downtown campus and at Mac. We invite you to 
 stay for refreshments and to connect with sustainability colleagues old an
 d new. The reception for the participants at the Mac Campus will be held i
 n the Plant Science Conference Room (Raymond Building - R2-013).\n\n\nWe h
 ave also been asked to inform you that the Adapting Urban Environments for
  the Future theme is holding an open workshop on September 27th\, 9:30 am 
 – 1 pm to which you are all invited. More information on this event will b
 e posted on the MSSI website shortly.\n\nYou are warmly invited to join us
  at all or part of the inaugural MSSI event for 2017-18 and to forward thi
