However\, a number of common misconceptions about the role of depression in these settings\, how to assess it\, and the ethics o f using depression questionnaires often limit the ability of researchers t o effectively integrate depression assessments in research. This presentat ion will discuss these issues in the context of existing evidence on depre ssion and its assessment.
