 Blanc\, PhD\, is Chair and Professor of the Department of Innovation in Me
 dical Education at the University of Ottawa\, and Director of the Universi
 ty of Ottawa Skills and Simulation Centre.\n\nShe has over 20 years experi
 ence leading research into a) optimizing the use of simulation in health p
 rofessions education and b) the effects of emotions and stress on the perf
 ormance of health professionals and front line workers. She has authored o
 ver 100 peer-reviewed publications\, and regularly presents her work natio
 nally and internationally. In addition to her research program\, she works
  with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada to advance si
 mulation-based education nationally and internationally\, and serves as an
  Associate Editor of the journal Advances in Health Sciences Education\n\n
