Most published analyses barely pro vide sufficient details of successful analyses\, much less any failures. R eproducible research is a concept that has been promoted as a way to incre ase transparency in analysis\, however it is not clear what value it has i n preventing failure. I will describe methodology that we can employ to de velop generalizable knowledge about data analytic failures and allow other s to learn from unexpected outcomes. I will also discuss some case studies of widely publicized data analysis failures and attempt to distill what\, if any\, lessons we can take from these cases to improve future analyses. \n DTSTART:20201110T170000Z DTEND:20201110T180000Z LOCATION:CA\, QC\, Zoom SUMMARY:QLS Seminar Series - Roger Peng URL:/qls/channels/event/qls-seminar-series-roger-peng- 325839 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
