This year, for , we are presenting a two-part activity on the marine fossils of Montreal. In the first part, meet Jeanne and Chantal online to discover and learn about Montreal's fossils and:

  • Montreal as a tropical sea with an introduction of common animals that fossilized
  • Tectonic plates
  • The classification of rocks, minerals and fossils
  • How to search for fossils and collect data
  • This 30-minute online activity is the first part of the fossil exploration activity near Percival-Molson Stadium on May 7, 2022. You do not need to attend the online event to attend the in-person event.

As per our Collections Management Policy (2024), repatriation requests will be received by the Redpath Museum Director and will be treated on a case-by-case basis.
