  of Sponsored Research is pleased to host an information session on Horizo
 n Europe\, the European Union’s research framework program with a budget o
 f €95.5 billion over seven years (2021 to 2027) and one of the world’s lar
 gest research and innovation funding programs.\n\nIn 2024 Canada will join
  Horizon Europe as an Associated Country\, allowing researchers in Canada 
 to participate in parts of the program on equal terms with researchers in 
 the European Union and other Associated Countries\, i.e. being able to lea
 d and join project consortia in Pillar II of Horizon Europe and obtain fun
 ding directly from the European Commission.\n\nThis information session wi
 ll present the funding opportunities under Horizon Europe’s Pillar II: Glo
 bal Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness as well as other Ho
 rizon Europe programs and provide details about the application process an
 d program requirements.\n\nThe information session will include presentati
 ons from:\n\n\n	Mary Kavanagh\, Senior Expert at the Directorate of Global 
 Approach and International Cooperation\, Directorate-General for Research 
 and Innovation\, European Commission\;\n	Aslin Unlusoy\, Counsellor (Scienc
 e\, Technology and Innovation)\, Mission of Canada to the European Union\;
 \n	Prof. Eva Kehayia\, Associate Professor\, School of Physical & Occupatio
 nal Therapy\, and successful Horizon 2020 applicant\;\n	The VPRI\, Office o
 f Sponsored Research.\n\n\nParticipants will have a chance to take part in
  a question and answer period where they may raise questions about the pro
 gram and the application process.\n\nThose who are unable to attend or who
  may not feel comfortable sharing their questions during the session shoul
