 l Atlas of Environmental Justice\n\nIn this talk we will present some prel
 iminary analysis of the 2700 geo-located cases of environmental justice pr
 otests documented in the Global Atlas of Environmental Justice (www.ejatla
 s.org). The EJAtlas documents ecological conflicts\, defined as mobilizati
 ons against perceived environmentally damaging projects or policies. It in
 cludes conflicts related to a wide range of polluting and extractive activ
 ities. Each case includes basic data and a description of the case\, proje
 ct details including area\, investment\, promoting actors\, companies and 
 international institutions involved\, details on the conflict\, including 
 actors\, forms of mobilization\, intensity\, start date\, Impacts (environ
 mental\, health and social)\; outcomes and sources and references. We are 
 interested in understanding determinants of conflict outcomes\, such as ac
 commodation (stopping projects) and state and corporate repression of the 
 mobilizers.\n
