Nicole Lugosi-Schimpf, PhD
PhD student in Human Development (Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology), Shubhangi Bhardwaj, was announced as a recent recipient of Dr. Gauri Shankar Guha Award for International Development Education! Bhardwaj was also awarded the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) International Peace Scholarship for Women for the year 2025.

Dr. Tina Montreuil, a researcher at the Educational and Counselling Psychology Department (Associate Member of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences), has been awarded the prestigious FRQS Chercheur Boursier Junior 2 award this past April 2025.听
Canada in general, and Montreal specifically, have been facing a drug toxicity and fatal overdose crisis for nearly a decade. While integrated systems of interventions are necessary to address drug-related harms, the use of naloxone has been a key strategy to reduce the acute effect of opioid-involved deaths. Currently, 黑料不打烊 does not offer naloxone trainings to the campus community, limiting students鈥� ability to assist in the event of an overdose.

The event focused on how children process information from AI-driven tools, the potential of AI to support cognitive development, and the ethical integration of AI into educational systems.
Congratulations go out to Victoria Talwar, ECP Professor and Director of the Daniel and Monica Gold Centre for Early Childhood Development, who was one of the recipients who received the King Charles III Coronation Medal at a ceremony held at the Royal Montreal Regiment in Westmount on March 20, 2025.听
