Dr. Jacques Rebuffot, Emeritus Professor of Second Language Education at 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Faculty of Education, passed away on January 5, 2022, at the age of 85. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years, Denise, and their three children (Genevi猫ve, Anne, and Philip) and seven grandchildren.

We are excited to announce that Jason Dellatolla, first year PhD student in Kinesiology Sciences, supervised by Dr. Lindsay Duncan, will be competing in the 黑料不打烊 University 3-Minute-Thesis Finals, today, on April 6th from 3-5pm. Jason is tasked with the challenge of presenting his research on innovative education and treatment approaches for mental health issues in no more than three minutes.

Congratulations to Matthew Slopecki Ph.D. (c) (Biomechanics of Occupation and Sport Lab) who has been awarded a 3-year Mitacs Accelerate Doctoral Fellowship. He will be working with Swimming Canada to develop a fatigue/performance monitoring tool with the elite para-swimming team.

Through this collaboration greater knowledge will be gained for an under-researched population while developing a tool that will help to improve athletic performance.
