For Students

What Can I Expect?

Micro-ExP is a 5-day program (up to 15 hours) in the form of a project or placement, including:

  1. Onboarding & Training

Start off your week with a live onboarding session covering program expectations, responsibilities, and tips for communicating with your employer. It's a great opportunity to meet your teammates if you're part of a group project. You'll also complete the “Preparing for Your Internship” online course.  Tip: Find out more about onboarding through ϲ’s Onboarding Central.

  2. Workshops

Get the most out of your experience by attending:

    • Micro-ExP & Your CV: Learn how to highlight your experience, skills, and micro-projects on your résumé.
    • LinkedIn Profiles: Get tips on showcasing your skills and integrating your Micro-ExP experience with your LinkedIn profile.
  1. Reflection & Wrap Up

Finish up the week by sharing your experience with fellow participants and reflecting on what you’ve learned. You’ll leave with ideas for ways to parlay your experience.

"I thought the Micro-project was a great way to connect with employers from diverse companies and get a taste of what it's like to work with those companies. This program was also a great way for me to explore topics that are not necessarily attached to my area of study, and gain valuable transferable skills.”  - Undergraduate student

"I liked having the opportunity to have hands-on experience. I got to see one of my captions being posted on the company's website, so that was a very rewarding feeling." - Undergraduate student
