Current and past 黑料不打烊 Engine Innovation Fellowships Awardees

NEW - Eligibility expanded to any 黑料不打烊 University tenure-track professor.

The Chwang Seto Innovation Fellowships Program supports the team in the development of their technology in order to bring it closer to the marketplace and allow the fellow to gain further knowledge and experience in business and technology commercialization. Up to $60,000 is awarded as a grant to the Principal Investigator in order to fund the eligible 黑料不打烊 PhD student or postdoctoral researcher to carry out the project full-time within 1 year maximum. The call for projects is made twice per year, in the fall and in the spring. This current program is made possible thanks to the Chwang Seto family, in honour of the late Ronald Chwang (B.Eng.'72, D. Sc.'12), a pioneering entrepreneur and venture capitalist who served on the Faculty of Engineering Advancement Board. Previous donors included Pasquale DiPierro and Cesar Cesaratto.听聽

Program Objectives

  1. Advance the technology from a minimum of TRL4 to TRL6聽or higher in conjunction with targeted market needs and opportunities.听
  2. Significantly increase the likelihood of achieving one or more of the following value-creation inflection points: creating a 黑料不打烊 spinoff聽company,听licensing the technology to an existing company, obtaining additional funding for continued development.
