Given that much of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Libraries' collection of print items has been moved to our offsite Collections Centre, PhD students can now apply for a second borrowing card to ensure they can check out all the materials they need. This card is called a PhD Research Card.

To request a PhD Research Card, you must register for a ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Libraries Borrowing card and select the PhD Research Card category.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Libraries Borrowing Cards

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Libraries Borrowing Cards are valid in all ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ libraries, subject to the borrowing policies of individual collections.

A ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Libraries Borrowing Card may only be used by the person to whom it is issued.

Fines or other sanctions are imposed for late returns and cards may be cancelled if misused.

Note: Registering for a ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Libraries Borrowing Card does not provide remote access to the Library’s electronic resources to those not already eligible, nor does it give you access to all library services and resources.

Visit the Service Desk at any ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ library location except the Rare Books & Special Collections Library or the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ University Archives.

Please note that your regular ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ borrowing account and your ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Libraries Borrowing card are two separate accounts that are not connected to one another.

Your ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Libraries Borrowing card account will have a different password from your regular ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ account. You will be sent a link to set the password for your ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Libraries Borrowing card after you submit your application for the card.

When signing in to your ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Libraries Borrowing card account:

Sign in to your : select "Login with a barcode". Use the barcode on your ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Libraries Borrowing Card (begins with 290), and the password you selected during the registration process.
