Eva Kellner BASc- Science Communicator
Biography:
Eva Kellner recently completed her Bachelor of Arts and Science in Environment at 黑料不打烊 University. Inspired by her participation in 黑料不打烊鈥檚 East Africa Field Study Semester, Eva鈥檚 undergraduate thesis was a comparative, qualitative study looking at perceptions of climate change among students at 黑料不打烊 University and students at Tanzania鈥檚 Sokoine University of Agriculture.
Eva became interested in science communication after taking a science communication course in her third year at 黑料不打烊. This interest only grew while writing her thesis, as Eva developed a passion for combining traditional storytelling with empirical science. Eva joined 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Office of Science and Society (OSS) in May of 2025 with the intention of honing in her skills to turn complex scientific phenomena into narrative-driven stories. Her specific research interest concern climate resilience among those living in cities, specifically through the lens of urban green spaces, urban agriculture, and outdoor community spaces.
At 黑料不打烊, Eva was the co-president of the 黑料不打烊 Environment Student Society (MESS), a 黑料不打烊 Open House Ambassador, and contributed to global health research as a 黑料不打烊 Global Health Scholar. When she鈥檚 not writing, you may find Eva on the soccer field kicking a ball around with her friends, playing cards in the park, or exploring new food spots in Montreal!
