Dear colleagues,

As many of you know further to an announcement recently shared with ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ leadership, Gillian Nycum has resigned from her position as Registrar and Executive of Enrolment Services to pursue new professional goals. Over the years in this role, Gillian brought tremendous skill and energy to her work from which ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ has benefited. For this and more, we owe her a great debt of gratitude.

Today I am pleased to announce that Romesh Vadivel will be taking up the mantle as Interim Registrar and Executive Director of Enrolment Services, effective 1 September 2025.

Romesh brings over three decades of experience in Canadian higher education, including leadership roles at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ University, Dalhousie University, and Concordia University. His extensive background spans student affairs, enrolment management, academic advising, systems deployment, and strategic project leadership. Most recently, Romesh previously served as Assistant Registrar at Service Point and as Associate Director of the Faculty of Arts Office of Advising and Student Information Services (OASIS), where he led a team dedicated to supporting student success and streamlining academic processes.

Romesh is also a nationally recognized leader in the registrarial community, having served as President of the ARUCC Board and Director of the MyCreds | MesCertif national network initiative.

As Romesh transitions into his new role, there will be a period of adjustment and collaboration with the OASIS team in the Faculty of Arts to ensure continuity and support for ongoing initiatives. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time and look forward to the expertise and energy Romesh will bring to our community.

Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Romesh!

Warm regards,

Angela
