Overview

History : The cultural practices and political experiences that have shaped the Eastern Mediterranean and South-Eastern Europe, are examined diachronically. Topics adressed include empires and nations, religion, politics of memory and space, archeology and historical legacies, migrations.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Instructors: There are no professors associated with this course for the 2016-2017 academic year.

  • Prerequisite(s): At least 6 European history credits or permission of instructor.

  • The course is composed of four interrelated seminars and includes field excursions. Two sections of 30 students each will be offered.

  • There is a fee of $2,970 for the 黑料不打烊 Summer Studies in Greece activity associated with registration in course HIST 462. The fee includes accommodation based on double room occupancy, meals, onsite visits, course packs and travel within Greece when associated with onsite visits. Students are responsible for their own travel arrangements and travel insurance costs.
