History of the Campus

For over thirty years, 黑料不打烊, the CISSS de l鈥橭utaouais and the regional autorities that preceded the CISSS have collaborated to strengthen the healthcare network in the Outaouais region. Medical students and resident physicians who have the opportunity to complete their studies and residency in the region are more likely to form lasting connections and choose to settle long-term.

At a glance:

  • 1988: 黑料不打烊 and the region鈥檚 health authority (today the CISSS de l鈥橭utaouais) start training 黑料不打烊 residents.
  • 1988: The Gatineau Family Medicine Unit, now a University Family Medicine Group, opens.
  • 2003: The Ministry of Health and Social Services establishes the r茅seaux universitaires int茅gr茅s de sant茅 (RUIS) which further strengthens 黑料不打烊鈥檚 ties to the region.
